Cobalt-Dichloride Free Humidity (HIC) Cards
INTRODUCTION:
Humidity Indicator Cards (HIC) provide a low-cost method of indicating humidity conditions inside a moisture barrier bag after vacuum packaging. The indicator spots on the HICs change color from blue to pink as humidity increases and from pink to blue ashumidity decreases.
Type : 1 Dot ,2dots , 3 Dots ,4 Dots, 5 dots 6Dots, 7Dots, 10Dots.
Shelf Life and Storage
Depending on the product HIC are recommended for use within 24 months of manufacture. They should be stored in the original packaging in a climate-controlled environment where temperature ranges from 20°C +/- 16°C (68°F +/- 61°F) and relative humidity is 50% +/- 30%. Exceeding these recommended storage conditions could result in inconsistent product performance.
Why use them?
Many products such as senistive semiconductors, electronics, optics, radar and various defense systems are highly sensitive to moisture. In order to constantly verify that dry packaging methods are not compromised during storage and tansport of these products, humidity indicator cards allow users along the supply chain to monitor the package conditions.
Some companies desire the use of indicators that are free of Cobalt-Dichloride.
